“Booze & Schmooze” Holiday Event

When: Monday, November 28, 2016 6:30pm – 10pm
Where: Society of Illustrators 128 East 63rd Street NYC

After the roaring success of last year’s expanded holiday party, Drinklings, the New York City-based happy hour built around the Science Fiction and Fantasy publishing industry, is hosting our 2nd annual Booze and Schmooze, which promises to be even Boozier and Schmoozier!

The event will again be held in the gorgeous Society of Illustrators Townhouse. Tickets will be $20, with proceeds going to benefit the Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship Fund.

We hope you'll join us again this year for food and a cash bar, with a special Drinklings cocktail menu. We'll once again have free swag, door prizes and our annual book swap, not to mention a host of amazing authors, artists, and industry pros—all in support of a great cause.

Ticket includes gallery admission and small plates buffet. Cash bar. 
There is no limit to the number of tickets you can buy, but space is limited.
Please feel free to bring your professional associates and colleagues. Spouses and significant others are also welcome, but no one under 21, as alcohol is being served.

This event is for members of the Science Fiction & Fantasy community. Artists working in that genre are also welcome.

****Book Swap Guidelines***

Participation in the Drinklings Holiday Book Swap is encouraged, but not mandatory.

1) Pick a book you love.

2) Wrap it. You are encouraged not to compare your wrapping skills to those of the illustrators and designers (show offs).

3) Leave your wrapped book on the Drinklings Holiday Book Swap table when you arrive.

4) Take a (different) wrapped book when you leave.

5) Read and enjoy!

6) Any leftover books will be donated to Housing Works.
